Xunantunich & Cave Tubing

Your day will begin with pickup directly from your hotel, where you’ll meet your friendly, licensed guide and travel comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle as you journey inland toward western Belize. Along the way, enjoy a scenic drive through charming villages, farmland, and lush countryside while your guide shares insights about local life and the region’s history.

Upon arrival, you’ll cross the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry, a unique and memorable start to your exploration of the impressive Xunantunich Maya Ruins. Walk through ancient ceremonial plazas and climb the iconic El Castillo pyramid, where sweeping views stretch across the Belize River Valley and into neighboring Guatemala. Your guide will bring the site to life with stories of Maya civilization, architecture, astronomy, and daily traditions.

After exploring the ruins, continue into the heart of the rainforest for an unforgettable cave tubing adventure. Following a short jungle walk, you’ll float gently through a series of limestone caves and crystal-clear river passages, surrounded by towering cave formations, lush greenery, and cool, refreshing water. This relaxing yet adventurous experience combines light walking, swimming, and tubing and is suitable for most fitness levels.

A freshly prepared Belizean lunch is included, and the private nature of the tour allows for a relaxed pace, personalized attention, and flexibility throughout the day. This experience perfectly blends history, nature, and adventure, making it an excellent choice for families, couples, and first-time visitors to Belize.
